MIKE NORVELL SITUATION
Florida State football lost its last contest, where it was defeated by Pittsburgh by a score of 34-31. The fan base describes it as a disappointing result in Year 6 of the Mike Norvell era.
The three-game losing streak of Virginia, Miami, and Pittsburgh has individuals worried about the future. Some even suggest that Coach Norvell deserves to be fired. It seems like fans are ready for the Chicken Little "the sky is falling" approach.
While it is not appropriate to discuss the matter since he is still employed with Florida State, there have been coaching moves across the country that have opened the eyes of several, such as the situation at Penn State with James Franklin. This could be the start of a trend.
BILLY NAPIER NEXT?
Florida head football coach Billy Napier could be the next domino to fall. They are sitting with a 2-4 record so far. This has been a difficult schedule for the Gators, but the university expects more from the program with so many resources.
However, Florida changes head coaches every couple of years, and it seems like they are never satisfied, even with the ones that were successful in Gainesville. Yahoo Sports made a social media post for a report from USA TODAY Sports, stating that Coach Napier could be fired as soon as this week.
Florida head coach Billy Napier could be fired as “soon as this weekend,” per USA TODAY Sports.

This isn't surprising news, as it looks like they have been wanting to fire him for over a year and a half now. Some of the Florida administration and big-time boosters probably just want to rip the band-aid and prepare for the future without him.
Florida State has its own set of difficulties to deal with, as it needs to win at least seven or eight games to give its administration time to think. The Florida State versus Florida contest was something that I thought Mike Norvell could get his revenge in Gainesville for the Gators' flag-planting fiasco last year in Tallahassee, but there is now a possibility that neither could be employed.
