The Notion that FSU isn't serious about football because they didn't fire Mike Norvell is no merit
But because FSU didn’t fire Norvell today..folks will say FSU isn’t serious. They are PLENTY serious…just not a lot to show for investments for the money spent and it ain’t Monopoly money. Sometimes gotta regroup and do due diligence in the market before throwing more money in https://t.co/aftkMk1S1Q

FSU has dedicated over 500 million to football over the past two years and gotten one ACC Championship in return. That’s a lot of money, not to mention the investment to sue the ACC in the effort to get MORE money for its branding power.
FSU is VERY serious about football; otherwise, they wouldn’t have been the first to challenge the ACC and its Grant of Rights. Here’s the thing: it’s going to cost between 75-100 million to fire Mike Norvell and his staff, hire a new coaching staff, and get more quality players.
Firing Mike Norvell on Monday, in a week, or waiting until the end of the season wasn’t going to change anything. Whoever the new coach is won’t start until the season is over. Recruiting is going to take a nosedive whether you keep Mike Norvell or not.
FSU will save between 6-10 million by waiting five weeks to fire him. That’s not nothing, and it gives folks time to figure out the market and make their next move.
