FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State football capped off a blowout win versus Kent State this Saturday by a score of 66-10. The Seminoles are waiting for their road trip to Charlottesville, Virginia, to take on the Cavaliers on Friday at 7:00 PM EST on ESPN. Florida State's offense had an exceptional showing against the Golden Flashes, where they had 775 total yards.

Quarterback Thomas Castellanos and this offense are clicking on all cylinders. The squad has a real chemistry that makes individuals feel like the Seminoles could compete for a national championship.

Obviously, they aren't perfect, but when you analyze the rest of the teams across the country, who is?

AP POLL

The updated AP Poll made its appearance on Sunday afternoon, where the Seminoles are listed as the eighth-best team in the country. Florida State was ranked No. 7 the week before, as it entered a bye week.

There is an understanding that the Seminoles played Kent State, which isn't a very good football team. However, some individuals are AP Poll voters who probably don't deserve to have a selection.

One person who comes to mind is The Advocate's Koki Riley, who has Florida State as the sixteenth-best team in the college.

Riley dropped his Week 4 AP Poll, which featured Notre Dame, Auburn, and Alabama ahead of them. It must not have occurred to them that the Crimson Tide lost to the Seminoles in Week 1 by two touchdowns, and the Fighting Irish possess a 0-2 record.

Luckily, the Crimson Tide had a bye week this week before they go on the road to face Georgia. Riley has Alabama at No. 17. Notre Dame (No. 13) and Auburn (No. 14) are still ahead of the Seminoles.

This is just comical at this point. Individuals just love to express hate towards the Seminoles. The AP Poll doesn't matter at the end of the day because it all comes down to the glorified beauty contest that is the College Football Playoff rankings, but it is disappointing that these people don't even take the time to watch the games and make educated rankings.
