Florida State football did not have the season that it wanted to in 2024, where it recorded a 2-10 record. This was something that Seminole fans did not want to see since the program is used to competing for championships.

As the season went along, Florida State's coaching staff elected to go to a youth movement to see what it had for the upcoming 2025 season.

Some of the key young contributors that got playing time included quarterbacks Luke Kromenhoek and Brock Glenn, running backs Kam Davis and Micahi Danzy, wide receiver Lawayne McCoy, and tight ends Landen Thomas and Amaree Williams.

Florida State was supposed to have strength in their running game last year. However, it was one of the worst rushing offenses in the country.

The Seminoles did have a bright spot with Danzy last year. The talk of last off-season was true freshman Kameron Davis, who enrolled early to campus. Davis's frame was impressive as a youngster, and many thought that he would contribute early on (which he did).

However, fans often forgot about running back Micahi Danzy. The speedster was from the Tallahassee area, so individuals already knew who he was. With that said, Danzy enrolled in the summer, so him catching up the collegiate game was a bit of a waiting game.

The Florida native isn't just a playmaker on the football field. He is also turning heads in track and field as he was rewarded this week's ACC Rookie of the Week after he finished with a 46.14 time in the 400-meter dash.

You can never turn down the elite level of speed that the running back had as he could take the top off of an opposing defense. Florida State's coaching staff tried to get him involved as a pass catcher versus Clemson where Danzy got in front of the defense on a wheel route, but he dropped it.

It could have been easy to lose confidence after the challenging moment, but he stayed with it and got his opportunity once again versus Charleston Southern on a similar wheel route pattern.
