ANOTHER SNOOZE FEST?

Florida State football welcomes the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday afternoon in the newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium at 3:30 PM EST on ACC Network. It could be a hot one in Tallahassee, as there doesn't seem to be rain in the forecast.

The Seminoles are coming off a bye week, but before that, Florida State defeated East Texas A&M by a score of 77-3. The oddsmakers feel that the program should handle its opponent, Kent State, as they are currently 44.5-point favorites.

If it is a blowout, this could be a perfect time for other young contributors to get an opportunity.

WEEZY BACK?

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell spoke with the media on Wednesday afternoon. He highlighted a couple of injured players on the roster. Coach Norvell mentioned that sophomore wide receiver Lawayne McCoy continues to push forward from injury and expects him to be ready for Saturday's contest against Kent State.

McCoy won't be someone who should break out versus the Golden Flashes. He is expected to be on a limited snap count, but it will be beneficial to get him back on the field, especially since injuries such as Squirrel White's linger (this isn't likely to affect his playing time).

The former four-star prospect out of Miami, Florida, only recorded six catches for 52 yards. However, Gus Malzahn's offense calls for all the pass catchers to be for their opportunity, as no one knows how much they will get the ball.

It would be cool to see McCoy do his signature dance move if he makes it into the end zone.
