Florida State has gotten off to a new start in the 2026 recruiting cycle, where they are listed as the 12th-best class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Seminoles' new coaching staff is starting to pay dividends in new relationships that have been built. It has not been perfect results as five-star quarterback Brady Smigiel has de-committed from Florida State, which is likely due to the fit in offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn's scheme.

There should be some good news for the Seminoles tomorrow as a five-star interior offensive lineman Lamar Brown from the University Lab School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana stated that he would announce his final four schools tomorrow.

Florida State will likely be part of the final four schools list since the Seminoles will be hosting him on an official visit to Tallahassee on June 6th. With that being said, other schools such as Miami, Texas A&M, and LSU will be involved in his recruitment as well since they are also hosting him on an official.
