Florida State football has so many projects going on at one time. It is a stressful time with the Seminoles since they are renovating Doak Campbell Stadium, building a football-only facility, and trying to leave the conference.
It could not have come at a worse time since Florida State finished with a 2-10 record in 2024. The fan base is starving for a consistent level of success. Florida State has seen five losing seasons in the past seven years.
Let's face it... That is not the standard here at this proud university where competing for conference and national championships should be the expectation. Overall, the Seminoles are looking to bounce back hugely for 2025.
Head football coach Mike Norvell is expected to win now and continue the winning tradition at Florida State. In the background, the construction crew is working on the football-only facility. The project will cost the Seminoles at least $100 million.

The Dunlap Football Center is something that likely would have been relevant back ten or fifteen years ago. However, the facility is still much needed as the infrastructure around the athletic program is not the greatest in the world when compared to other ACC schools.
Overall, I realize that the fan base might lose interest in keeping up with the football-only facility, but it should be completed by the summer of 2025 and it will look nice on campus as Florida State welcomes Alabama into the renovated Doak Campbell Stadium.
Fans have already made their opinions known across social media about the Seminoles wanting to spend the extra $25 million to update the jumbotron. Some say that they don't care about the upgrades as they just want Florida State to secure wins.
There is a ton riding on the Seminoles for 2025. I hope they navigate their way through it.
