FSU IS THE TALK OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Florida State football is the discussion around the dinner table by even your 80-year-old grandmother after they defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide by a score of 31-17. The Seminoles seem to be on a mission after the 2-10 embarrassment last year.
The team cannot lose sight of the physicality and aggression that it showed against a squad that many thought was a powerhouse in Alabama. I wonder when ACC play starts on the road versus Virginia, will they have that same mentality?
Before we see that transpire, the Seminoles have to play East Texas A&M on Saturday at noon Eastern time on the ACC Network in what could be a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium. I don't believe that the Florida State football fans are excited to see the Tallahassee sun after the overcast sky in the Alabama contest.
SCORE PREDICTION/ANALYSIS
East Texas A&M lost to SMU by a score of 42-13 this past weekend. Don't look now, but the Lions covered the +50.5 spread line, as they only trailed the Mustangs at halftime 21-3. East Texas A&M was on the verge of scoring in their first possession of the second half to potentially trail 21-10, but SMU was able to get a 95-yard interception for a touchdown.
All in all, this will be an East Texas A&M that will fight to the finish with running back JaiSean McMillian and wide receiver Devin Matthews, who made plays in the opener.
However, this is a Florida State team that is riding with a ton of confidence after a big victory against Alabama. Quarterback Thomas Castellanos stood on business, and his teammates followed his lead. I don't care if it is a noon game. Give me the Seminoles big in this one!
I expect many of the youngsters to get quality reps in the second half as Florida State cruises to a win.
Taylor Devers: 52-10 FSU
Kelvin Hunt: 52-10 FSU
Griffin Durden: 52-3 FSU
Nick Andre: 41-6 FSU
Shout out to Nick for correctly predicting a Florida State victory last week versus Alabama. We hope that the momentum continues for this offense.
