FSU FOOTBALL SHOULD BE HUNGRY
Florida State football should be hungry to back out on the field, as they play the Wake Forest Demon Deacons tonight at 7:30 PM EST in Doak Campbell Stadium for Homecoming. This should be enough to get the squad's energy level up.
However, Florida State has to find a way to get off their four-game losing streak, as the fan base is extremely with how head football coach Mike Norvell and his squad is playing. They have not had an ACC win since September 21, 2024. That seems like a lifetime ago.
The good news is that the Seminoles could likely return quarterback Thomas Castellanos, tight end Randy Pittman Jr., and cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls from injury. Florida State will need all the help that they can get for this game.
ARE YOU NERVOUS?
It is funny how we discuss how this team that beat Alabama in the season opener needs all the help it can for beating Wake Forest. That speaks to how much this program has struggled over the last couple of weeks.
The hope is that Doak Campbell Stadium doesn't turn into a boo-fest the day after Halloween, if things get ugly. Nonetheless, this is a Wake Forest team that is coming off a 13-12 grind-it-out victory versus SMU, which resulted in a game-winning 50-yard field goal.
The Seminoles are preparing for both Demon Deacon quarterback in Robby Ashford and Deshawn Purdie, but the defense has to find a way to get off the field on third down and give the offense good starting field position.
As for offensively, it all comes down to the health of quarterback Thomas Castellanos. If he is hesitant to operate the unit with his dual-threat ability, it could be a long night for the Seminoles. With that said, let's get into the score predictions.
SCORE PREDICTIONS
Taylor Devers: 23-17 FSU
Kelvin Hunt: 23-17 Wake
Griffin Durden: 24-20 FSU
Nick Andre: 32-17 FSU
Michael Wilson: 30-23 FSU
Honestly, I commend our own Kelvin Hunt for the reverse psychology, plus it isn't that crazy of a prediction considering that Florida State football has a 1-11 record in its last 12 ACC games. At some point, the Seminoles will get back on track.
Here's hoping that fans leave Doak Campbell Stadium happy with a win on Homecoming!
