FSU FOOTBALL
Florida State football is back in action after the early bye week. They will be taking on the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday at 3:30 PM EST on the ACC Network. The Seminole faithful is hoping that the contest goes like the beat down against East Texas A&M, where Florida State won by a score of 77-3.
The Seminoles are riding high in trying to prove the doubters wrong. They don't seem satisfied with just beating Alabama in the season opener. As former defensive back Bryant McFadden told the team in the pre-game, they cannot let the success get to them.
FSU OFFENSE IS SOARING
Quarterback Thomas Castellanos has been marvelous in Gus Malzahn's offense with the Seminoles. Even though it was evident that things could run smoothly since the pair had worked together in the past, there weren't many who thought that it would make the Crimson Tide wave the white flag.
It was encouraging to see big-bodied wide receiver Duce Robinson get going against East Texas A&M with five receptions for 173 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. However, there is some unfinished business for a couple of other pass catchers looking to make their mark.
This game against Kent State will be about trying to ensure that the squad shakes off the rust from the bye week before it prepares for a Friday night road trip to face Virginia to begin conference play.
We at Chop Chat are back at it again with the score predictions. We were all winners last week as we predicted the Seminoles to grab another victory. What will be the result of the Kent State game?
