At home is where the Seminoles are comfortable. They come out of the tunnel every game motivated and ready to put on a show in front of their home fans. With that being said, the team always finds a way to get off to strong starts on both ends of the floor.
On the road, it has been different this season. It’s a new situation for the team every time they step outside of Tallahassee. The Seminoles step into new territory where the odds are against them. With that being said, the team must find a way to change their mindset every time they play away from home.
In their two games at Stanford and California, the Seminoles got off to slow starts once again. However, we may have to give the team the benefit of the doubt. Traveling from one coast to the next is not an easy adjustment. There’s a time and climate difference that the team has to adjust to to be prepared mentally for these games. In the first matchup, the Seminoles lost in an 89-84 defeat against Stanford. Despite keeping the contest close, the team couldn’t slow down the Cardinals’ ball movement and three-point shooting.
