We at ChopChat decided to conduct a Q&A with Class of 2026 three-star offensive lineman commit Xavier Payne from Miami Edison High School in Miami, Florida.
Q: Alright, let's get straight to business! The world wants to know: One silverback versus one hundred humans, who wins?
A: "Got to take the humans."
Q: On a lighter note, you will be taking an official visit to Florida State on June 20th. What are some things that you are looking forward to about the trip?
A: The biggest thing about the trip for me is just trying my best to have fun, worrying less about getting recruited, and constantly becoming a closer member of the FSU family!"
Q: You have been committed to Florida State since December 2024. What has your relationship been like with offensive line coach Herb Hand?
A: "Mine and Coach Hands's relationship is on another level. He and I are locked in!"
Q: You recently transferred over to Miami Edison High School. What went into your decision to make the switch?
A: "Really just had to make the decision that was best for me and my family. When it comes to that, we made a business decision."
Q: Lastly, will you be attending any Florida State football games this fall? If so, which ones?
A: "Yes, I will make it to at least one, but I would like to make it as often as possible. The one that I would like to get to the most would be the Bama game."
We want to thank Xavier for taking the time out of his day to answer our questions. Be sure to follow him on his Twitter (X) account by clicking here.
