Florida State football has some players from the 2024 roster who will be eligible to get drafted. There are none bigger than talented cornerback Azareye'h Thomas.
Thomas will not be in the Green Bay, Wisconsin, green room for the 2025 NFL Draft. This isn't shocking. The quiet-natured defender has not been outgoing. He has been described as someone who is "family-oriented". He has a tremendous relationship with his mother, Stephanie, and his brother, Juanyeh Thomas, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys.
Let's not forget that the former four-star prospect was an afterthought by the Seminoles' fan base in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Thomas was an unfortunate product of a Florida State football recruiting class that saw former five-star prospect Travis Hunter de-commit from the Seminoles and sign with Jackson State in a stunner during the Early Signing Period.
The Hunter news took the headlines, but Thomas put his head down and went to work. During his three seasons in Tallahassee, the Niceville, Florida native recorded 95 tackles (nine for loss), 0.5 sack, 15 pass deflections, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.
The 2024 season was a disaster for the Florida State Seminoles, but the cornerback continued to show his talent to the world and didn't let the adversity strike.
There have been a couple of NFL Draft mocks that have teams selecting Thomas in the late first round, but there are also some that see him being picked in the second round. I believe that he should be a first-round pick (I know that I am a homer), but whoever gets him will be successful.
