Florida State football has enjoyed several successes during the 2023 season where it accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. Unfortunately, the College Football Playoff committee excluded the Seminoles' ability to compete for a national championship.

The Seminoles are preparing to bring about a squad that is returning only 56% of its production from a season ago. However, head football coach Mike Norvell and company have the ultimate goal of achieving sustainable success as a program.

It is certainly exciting to see the Seminoles up to the challenge in 2024 after dealing with unthinkable circumstances last season. The fan base had to know that last year was going to be special with all of the returning pieces plus the fact that Florida State got their uniforms redesigned which was similar to the 2013 version (the year that the Seminoles won their last national championship).

The fan base gained so much excitement from the moment that the uniforms were revealed. While the Seminoles only showcased garnet and white jerseys, Florida State featured N7 turquoise jerseys during the Spring Showcase in April to represent non-contact players.

I could envision the Seminoles utilizing the turquoise jerseys this upcoming season, which will most likely be featured in their November 23rd matchup versus Charleston Southern.

However, the fan base has been curious to see if the program will bring back the black jerseys. Former Florida State walk-on wide receiver Jeremiah Giedrys (who transferred to Stetson this offseason) decided to dip his foot in the graphic design game where he posted his designs of the various combinations with the black jerseys.

I realize that some of the fan base thinks that the all-black uniform combination is cursed. I feel that is a bit over-the-top in terms of thinking. However, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If individuals remember, Florida State used to wear black jerseys quite a way against the Duke Blue Devils and have been pretty successful against that program.

I am a huge fan of the traditional uniform combinations. I believe that garnet and gold are the best combination in all of college football (I might be a little biased). However, I realize that some individuals like to spice it up a little bit with the combinations.

Be sure to follow Jeremiah's graphic design Twitter (X) account here. He does a tremendous job with his work and we wish him nothing but the best in his journey with Stetson. Once a Nole, always a Nole!
