TACKLES

Florida State defensive coordinator Adam Fuller will have to replace the likes of veteran linebackers Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune, who exceed their eligibility after the 2023 season. Both of them were the top two tacklers on the team.

The Seminoles added another linebacker in Alabama's Shawn Murphy. However, the former four-star prospect played sparingly with the Crimson Tide. One of the biggest storylines of the offseason was the fact that Florida State was able to get veteran DJ Lundy to return to the Seminoles in 2024.

The experienced linebacker was a pivotal part of the Seminoles' defense. While he was not the best in coverage, he showcased the ability to be an effective run-stopper where he had 54 total tackles (which was third-best on the team).

This comes as no surprise that linebacker DJ Lundy is the pick here for most tackles. The Seminoles generally run a 4-2-5 defensive scheme where it puts pressure on the two linebackers on the field to garner the responsibility of covering in space as well as coming down in run support.
