RUSHING YARDS

I believe that the running back position is loaded with talent even after Florida State lost Trey Benson to the 2024 NFL Draft as well as Rodney Hill and CJ Campbell Jr. to the transfer portal.

Running backs coach David Johnson has done a tremendous job of working with who he has on the roster. There is not a shortage of talent as the Seminoles came in with Lawrance Toafili, Caziah Holmes, Samuel Singleton Jr., Kam Davis, and Micahi Danzy. They also brought in Alabama senior back Roydell Williams.

Toafili had a fantastic showing of his ability in the ACC Championship Game where he earned MVP honors after recording 10 rushing attempts for 118 yards and 1 touchdown. Fans understand that the foundation of head football coach Mike Norvell's offensive scheme revolves around running the football.

Unfortunately, the Seminoles were not able to establish a consistent run game as Trey Benson was only able to cap off a long run every once in a while and never had successful consistency.

As it pertains to the rushing yards leader, I believe that it will be Roydell Williams. During his 2023 season with the Crimson Tide, he had 111 carries for 560 yards and 5 touchdowns. Willliams is considered a powerful runner that is a weapon that can be utilized between the tackles. I think that is exactly what the Seminoles need for an offense surrounded by newer weapons.

Pick: Roydell Williams
