Who are three players from the Seminoles' 2023 squad that will be missed in 2024?
QB JORDAN TRAVIS
This first selection was an obvious one, considering how important redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis was to this university. The beginning part of his career in Tallahassee (after transferring from Louisville) was a bit rocky.
The signal caller even contemplated the idea of completely giving up the game of football. There were even some fans who questioned whether or not Travis could throw it 15 yards downfield. Even though this coach is not currently on staff, former offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham instilled confidence in the West Palm Beach (FL) navigate where he emphasized to him that he was the quarterback.
During the last two seasons, Travis has 5,970 yards with 44 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions as a passer. Head football coach Mike Norvell always states that players on his roster have to showcase responses to adverse situations and the veteran quarterback stepped up to the plate.
While the Seminoles added former Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei from the transfer portal, it is difficult to follow in the footsteps that the fans adore as well as a player that they have watched grow and develop over the years.
