Who are some underrated FSU players that need to be monitored for the future?
JUSTIN CRYER
I feel like we are always discussing the linebacker position for the Florida State Seminoles. The depth there is a bit scary given that the options are relatively inexperienced. While veteran DJ Lundy returns to Tallahassee for his senior season in 2024, fans hope that others emerge alongside him.
This is not a shot at options such as Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., Shawn Murphy, and Justin Cryer are not good collegiate players that project well. However, everything is up in the air in terms of being a surefire contributor since they don't have much experience.
One piece that could be important is Justin Cryer. The former three-star prospect transferred in from Northwestern. In the blowout Orange Bowl loss against Georgia, Cryer had 6 total tackles and was able to be active in coming downhill as a tackler.
Linebacker coach Randy Shannon already has a talented linebacker prospect committed to the 2025 recruiting cycle with four-star Ethan Pritchard from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. This should continue to be an emphasize even if the room is talented.
