DEUCE SPANN

Florida State senior wide receiver Deuce Spann (transferred in from Illinois) has not done much as a pass-catching threat during his two seasons in Tallahassee. However, he did have a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the contest versus the Duke Blue Devils.

Spann came into a wide receiver transfer class which included Mycah Pittman, Johnny Wilson, and Winston Wright Jr. While the talented pass catcher was regarded as a project, he was thought to have a high potential given his blazing speed and 6'4" frame.

Unfortunately, his skill set has not been translated yet. That isn't to say that it won't happen in 2024. With Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman off to the NFL, the Seminoles will have to find viable pieces in the room to give DJ Uiagalelei playmakers to throw to.

The biggest memories of Spann's tenure have been when head football coach Mike Norvell was seen expressing his frustration on the sideline with him after a 15-yard personal foul penalty after the Seminoles were up multiple scores on the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes as well as the kickoff return versus Duke. It is time for Spann to handle his business in 2024.
