Updates on two of the Seminoles' wide receiver targets in the 2025 recruiting cycle
FIVE-STAR WR KALIQ LOCKETT
Florida State has wide receiver prospects that it is trending positively, such as four-star Daylan McCutcheon and four-star Joshua Moore. However, the recruiting target board is continuing to expand in hopes of getting the best possible playmakers for the Seminoles.
One prospect that should be monitored is five-star Kaliq Lockett from Sachse High School in Sachse, Texas. Lockett has come down to Tallahassee for an unofficial visit in March and has shown mutual interest in the program.
However, there is always a danger of recruiting the state of Texas prospects since they live further away and must battle the likes of the home-state Texas Longhorns. Lockett has already received an expert prediction with the Longhorns and will be officially visiting the program on the weekend of June 21st.
The Seminoles will be trying to put their best foot forward as they will host him on the weekend of June 14th. Lockett conducted an interview with On3's Josh Newberg where he stated that he would not count out Florida State and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans.
Relationships have always been vital for head football coach Mike Norvell and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans. This would be a phenomenal grab for the program as they look to acquire as many talented playmakers as possible for their offense. I am excited to see how things play out for Lockett.
