WR DAYLAN MCCUTCHEON

Florida State has been in communication with four-star Daylan McCutcheon from Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas for quite some time now. Even with the Wiley commitment to the Seminoles, I do not expect that to be a factor of why McCutcheon chooses to come to Tallahassee.

McCutcheon has been on record stating that Florida State has been the standard of his recruiting visits. The family atmosphere and the feeling like it has been home to him have always stood out. He has already received a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles.

It is always a dangerous mindset to recruit Texas kids with the Longhorns' activity in the NIL landscape. However, the USC Trojans seem to be the biggest threat to the Seminoles at this time. He will be choosing between Florida State, USC, Texas, Ohio State, and SMU on July 13th.

We already saw four-star cornerback Shamar Arnoux choose the Trojans after Florida State was considered the leader. With that being said, the Seminoles have to find a way to get McCutcheon in the class. During the 2023 season, he recorded over 1,400+ yards and 19 touchdowns.

The coaching staff likes him to play on the outside and in the slot. He would be a game-changing talent alongside Wiley.
