FSU football had 10 players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, but many FSU fans thought there'd be 1-2 more. The good news is those undrafted players wasted no time finding a new home in the NFL. Kalen DeLoach, Fabien Lovett, and Akeem Dent had homes within an hour of the NFL Draft ending. As I said in the NFL Draft Tracker, sometimes it's better to sign as a UDFA than to get drafted in the later rounds. Players have the flexibility to choose who they want to sign with and can make more money upfront. Here's where these three players went:

I like this move for Kalen DeLoach. He can be a force on special teams and could be used in special packages as he learns the defense and finds a role.

Akeem Dent is a guy who deserved to get drafted after his 2024 season. The FSU defense depended on him heavily and was drastically different when he was out for a few games last year. However, his injury history may have scared some teams. Dent will join former Noles Derwin James and Asanti Samuel Jr. with the San Diego Chargers. I think Dent will have a solid shot to make this team if he can stay healthy. He's physical against the run and a solid player all around.

I know some FSU fans were surprised Lovett went undrafted, but he has a history of injuries and got surpassed by Joshua Farmer last year at FSU. He's still a disrupter in the trenches and stout against the run. He'll team up with former FSU Derrick Nnadi on a solid Kansas City team.

Overall

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were not a great team but won the terrible NFC South Division last season before losing to the Detroit Lions in NFC Divisional Playoff. The LA Chargers have fallen off after being post-season team a few years ago. They finished 5-12 last season. The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season 11-6 and won the Super Bowl.
