Two true freshmen players on the Seminoles' roster unveiled their jersey numbers
OL MANASSE ITETE
As most individuals know, former four-star offensive lineman prospect Manasse Itete was trending to the Seminoles for most of his recruitment. He was even planning on officially visiting the program at the end of the summer. However, the USC Trojans wowed him on his first official visit and he scheduled to commit to the Trojans and cancel the trip to Tallahassee.
However, offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins did not stop their pursuit of Itete as they continued to put their recruiting hat on. Florida State General Manager Darrick Yray was a big help in the recruitment as well given his West Coast connection.
Itete ultimately decided to de-commit from USC and wanted to commit to Florida State. This was a huge get for the Seminoles' offensive line position unit. He is listed at 6'5" and 290 pounds. Obviously, he will need some help from the strength and conditioning program with assistant coach Josh Storms, but you can see the potential that Itete possesses.
On his Instagram account Thursday afternoon, the talented offensive lineman announced that he would be wearing No. 70. I think that jersey number for him as Atkins will likely be cross-training him as an interior offensive lineman and offensive tackle.
