FOUR-STAR CB GREGORY THOMAS

Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has still not acquired a prospect at the position. However, Surtain Sr. picked up four quality secondary pieces in the 2024 recruiting cycle with Charles Lester III, Cai Bates, Jamari Howard, and Ricky Knight III.

While some fans expressed frustrations with not signing five-star KJ Bolden, the Seminoles were still able to get pieces for the future foundation of the program.

Fast forward to the 2025 recruiting cycle, Florida State is involved with four-star cornerback Gregory Thomas from American Heritage High School in Plantation (FL), who had a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles.

Thomas has made multiple unofficial visits to Tallahassee and views Florida State as a top school. Not to mention that the American Heritage High School standout has a prototypical size of 6'2". This is a prospect that Florida State could realistically land given that Surtain Sr. was previously the head football coach at American Heritage.
