Top ten recruits that I wish FSU could realistically land in the 2025 cycle
FIVE-STAR TE ELYISS WILLIAMS
The tight end position has always been something that head football coach Mike Norvell prioritizes in his offenses due to versatility. Tight ends can line up on the outside, in the slot, and as an-in blocker/receiving option.
The options are endless. There have even been instances where the Seminoles would utilize three tight ends in their formations to create mismatches as well as provide more protection when running the football.
Florida State had quality tight ends on their roster in 2023 such as Jaheim Bell, Kyle Morlock, Markeston Douglas, and even Jackson West later in the season. Bell has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft while Douglas has transferred to Arizona State.
However, tight ends coach Chris Thomsen was able to bring in four-star prospect Landen Thomas who Norvell refers to as "the best tight end in America". The former Georgia commit is a high-quality option who could play meaningful snaps as a true freshman.
Speaking of talented Bulldog commits, five-star Elyiss Williams from Camden County High School in Kingsland (GA). He unofficially visited Florida State recently. The 6'7" and 235-pound target could be utilized somewhat like big-bodied Johnny Wilson. That would be a mismatch nightmare for opposing defenses.
