Florida State's administration has made its intentions known that they would like to exit the ACC in football. The revenue gap is too large that it seems like institutions from the SEC and Big Ten are at such at an advantage that it looks like the Seminoles are treading water.

With the conference having their Grant of Rights finished in 2031, the Seminoles hope to depart the conference soon. Florida State knows the conference could be a ticking time bomb with the ACC adding strange additions such as California, Stanford, and SMU.

Overall, the Seminoles have already sued the conference and the ACC could be a secondary talking point in two years if Florida State gets their ultimate desire. But in the meantime, the Seminoles are here for the time being.
