FOUR-STAR DE MARIYON DYE

Seeing a talented four-star defensive end prospect interested in the Florida State football program is always great. Depth at a defensive end position is never a bad thing.

Four-star defensive end Mariyon Dye from Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana recently included the Seminoles in his top eight schools list which included Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, LSU, and Purdue.

When the Seminoles are included in a top-50 prospect's recruitment, it is always something to monitor. The talented pass rusher does have a loaded summer official visit schedule to Purdue (May 31), Georgia (June 7), Ohio State (June 14), Florida State (June 18), and Tennessee (June 21).

However, like Smith, the Seminoles have put themselves in the thick of his recruitment. I believe that five-star defensive end Zion Grady is their top uncommitted want at the position. Overall, I don't think that Florida State would be upset if they landed Smith in their recruiting class.
