DE AARON HESTER

Florida State fans are having to live without ultra-talented pass rusher Jared Verse in their defense. Up-and-coming star Patrick Payton has lived up to the billing where he recorded over ten pass breakups and seven sacks during last season.

The coaching staff also added transfers such as Marvin Jones Jr. (Georgia), Sione Lolohea (Oregon State), and Tomiwa Durojaiye (West Virginia). Plus, they have improving reserve Byron Turner Jr.

It is easy to forget about redshirt sophomore defensive end Aaron Hester, whose father (Ron Hester) played with the Seminoles. Hester has not played a ton during his Florida State career. However, he made some plays during the Spring Showcase where he made the offensive tackles work for everything they had.

While I know it is a talented defensive end position group, I could envision a situation where Hester will get some burn this season as he progresses into a bigger role during the 2025 season.
