Florida State has yet to acquire a wide receiver prospect in their 2025 recruiting class after three-star DL Hardison decided to part ways a couple of months ago. However, one prospect that should be monitored in this cycle is five-star Jaime Ffrench Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville (FL).

The talented pass catcher de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide on January 14th. With the shocking retirement of legendary head football coach Nick Saban, he decided to open his recruitment back up. Shortly after Mike Norvell received an extension from the university, he made it a priority to visit Ffrench Jr.

His high school teammate, quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., will also be attending the Seminoles' Junior Day event. The four-star signal-caller has been recruiting heavily for Ffrench Jr. to come to Tallahassee since Jones Jr. was pledged to Florida State on April 1st.

This could be a fantastic way to get the electric playmaker comfortable with potentially committing to Florida State. Wide receivers coach Ron Dugans is starting to make his presence known in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
