Talented defensive back prospect includes FSU in top schools list
Florida State football is ranked below the top 40 in recruiting for the 2025 cycle. The Seminoles' fan base is starving for a commitment where they have not secured a prospect since four-star defensive end Javion Hilson de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide and flipped to Florida State in January.
It is easy to get discouraged when other schools are landing prospects while Florida State is not landing any prospects just yet. However, it is worth mentioning that it is only May and the summer months are upon us.
The coaching staff is prepared to host several highly-touted prospects on campus this summer. Florida State is preparing to have the June 21st weekend as a time to remember with over 20_ prospects officially visiting.
One prospect to monitor is three-star safety Max Redmon from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has put his stamp on the program thus far where he recruited the likes of Charles Lester III, Jamari Howard, Cai Bates, and Ricky Knight III.
Surtain Sr. has not secured any defensive back prospects in their 2025 recruiting class at this time. Redmon is a prospect that the Seminoles offered during the FAU satellite camp. He is considered a very fast recruit who can cover a ton of space as a safety.
Redmon went to social media on Monday afternoon where he released his top seven schools list where it featured Florida State, Penn State, South Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Syracuse, and Louisville.
It is important to note that the West Palm Beach native will be officially visiting Florida State during the weekend of June 7th. Redmon only has the Seminoles that he will be taking a trip to this summer at this moment. This could be a prospect that could be in Florida State's recruiting class if everything goes well.
