Status updates on three of the Florida State Seminoles' 2025 football commits
OL SOLOMON THOMAS
Five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida has been committed to Florida State since December. Overall, I believe that Thomas will be utilized as an interior offensive lineman during his time with the Seminoles (if he chooses to go there).
Originally, the Jacksonville native stated that the recruitment process did not matter much. Since then, he has taken trips to schools such as Florida and Miami. As I stated about Jones Jr., I really want Thomas to visit the schools that he wants during this time to ensure that it is best for him and his family.
Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has transformed the Seminoles' offensive line position group into something special. However, Atkins has had a tendency to utilize transfer portal prospects in his rotation instead of relying on homegrown recruits.
That will likely have to change as veterans such as Darius Washington, Jeremiah Byers, Maurice Smith, Robert Scott Jr., and Keiondre Jones will all be graduating after the 2024 season. This will be a great opportunity for Thomas to play significant snaps.
Thomas is officially visiting the Seminoles during the big June 21st weekend. This is an opportunity for the coaching staff to solidify his recruitment. I am a bit hesitant about the Gators and most specifically, the LSU Tigers. I believe that Thomas' pledge is safe now.
