QB TRAMELL JONES JR.

The Mandarin High School standout has been the longest-tenured Seminole commit. The coaching staff had faith in Jones Jr. as a prospect. He is now showcasing his ability in competitions such as the Elite 11.

However, the arch-rival Florida Gators have started to gain traction in this recruitment. It might sound shocking since the Gators finished last season with a losing record, they will have a difficult month of November in 2024, and they have former five-star signal-caller DJ Lagway in their rotation.

As we know, the quarterback position is quite stressful in recruiting. Florida State fans were lucky to have former four-star quarterback prospect Luke Kromenhoek committed to the fold.

With that being said, there has not been a Gators' official visit scheduled with Jones Jr. as of right now. The talented quarterback is only slated to take a visit with the Seminoles for the weekend of June 21st. That doesn't mean that he won't schedule a visit to Gainesville in due time.

While I know that I am not a fan of the Gators (obviously), I do understand that these young men only have one recruiting process (typically) and want to make the best decision for themselves and their loved ones. Overall, I believe that Jones Jr. is firm in his commitment but I understand if he wants to entertain other options down the road.
