Florida State is ranked as the 41st-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. This is not a place that Seminole fans want to be as being in the top-ten is a standard for the proud football program.

Florida State only has four commitments in the fold with five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

The Seminoles have not secured a pledge since January when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson from Cocoa, Florida flipped his commitment from Alabama to Florida State after legendary head football coach Nick Saban retired.

Unfortunately, the Crimson Tide is creeping down in his recruitment where he has an official visit scheduled with them for June 7th. However, the coaching staff is doing everything in its power to keep Hilson as defensive coordinator Adam Fuller and defensive ends coach John Papuchis conducted a visit with the talented pass rusher.

Hilson is considered the number-one defensive end prospect in the 247 Composite Rankings. The Seminoles cannot afford to lose his services as he recorded 14 sacks during his junior season in 2023. For reference, he will be officially visiting Florida State on June 21st.
