DEFENSIVE TACKLE

Florida State defensive tackle coach Odell Haggins as one of the best assistant coaches at his position. Haggins has consistently developed his players to make it to the professional ranks.

The Seminoles will be tasked with replacing pieces in their defensive tackle position group in Braden Fiske and Fabien Lovett Sr. who are now with NFL teams. Fiske is someone who was truly dominant down the stretch as Florida State looked to make its way in the College Football Playoff.

Lovett Sr. struggled to stay healthy in 2023 but showcased his talent in limited reps. Florida State returns two of their heavy contributors from last year in Joshua Farmer and Darrell Jackson Jr. The former high school duo should wreak havoc for opposing offenses in 2024.

The Seminoles also have talented younger pieces in KJ Sampson and Daniel Lyons. They also added veterans such as Grady Kelly and Tomiwa Durojaiye via the transfer portal. If two out of these four contributors have meaningful snaps, I believe that Florida State could have a solid unit.

SOLUTION: Development of KJ Sampson/Daniel Lyons
