Should FSU fans be worried about not acquiring 4-star LB target Tavion Wallace?
Florida State has a linebacker prospect committed to their 2025 recruiting cycle in four-star Ethan Pritchard from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. However, as most fans know, there needs to be an abundance of talent added to the room.
This isn't a suggestion that the linebacker position room is not talented because that is far from the truth. The Seminoles possess linebackers in their rotation such DJ Lundy, Cam Riley, Shawn Murphy, Omar Graham Jr., Blake Nichelson, Justin Cryer, and DeMarco Ward.
However, when guys such as Lundy and Riley leave after the 2024 season, this leaves a rotation that lacks collegiate experience. The solution to this issue is to stockpile talent in the room. Linebackers coach Randy Shannon has done a tremendous job developing the room and has a track history of getting players to the professional ranks.
One prospect that needs to be monitored in the 2025 cycle is four-star Tavion Wallace from Wayne County High School in Jesup, Georgia. He stated during an unofficial visit with the Seminoles earlier this spring that Florida State was the team to beat in his recruitment.
Wallace will be announcing his commitment on July 15th. Schools like Florida and Georgia have made the recruitment very interesting. Even though the Seminoles have a crystal ball prediction in favor of them, the coaching staff needs to pursue his services.
Wallace is considered the 5th-best linebacker prospect in the 2025 cycle. The Seminoles would truly benefit from his services. While the Gators might seem like a sinking ship at this moment with their on-the-field product, the Georgia Bulldogs have the product to prove it on the recruiting trail.
Wallace is scheduled to officially visit the Seminoles in June. Can Florida State be able to finish the deal in the recruitment and solidify the commitment of the talented linebacker? I believe they can.
