Q&A with Class of 2025 three-star defensive lineman target Trajen Odom

FSU football has successfully obtained highly-touted prospects in their 2025 recruiting class with five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

The Seminoles are still looking to add more talented pieces to the fold. We at ChopChat decided to conduct a Q&A with Class of 2025 three-star defensive lineman Trajen Odom from Panther Creek High School in Cary (NC).

Q: What was it like getting a visit from Coach Norvell and Coach Haggins?

A: "Getting a visit from both coaches meant a lot to me. Having the head coach and position coach take the time to visit me showed that they are serious about me playing for their program."

Q: What position are the Seminoles recruiting you at?

A: "The Seminoles are recruiting me to play across the line. Ranging from a three out to end. Due to my athleticism and versatility."

Q: What inspired you to play the game of football?

A: "My dad played football in college and the pros. Being surrounded by great football players growing up inspired me. And also football allows me to be myself on the field and play free."

Q: What was it like receiving an offer from FSU?

A: "Receiving this offer meant a lot to me. FSU has always been a school that I watched growing up and, them being a dominant team this past season, it brought more interest to me."

Q: What stands out to you the most about the Seminoles?

A: The good players that they produce stand out, and the transparency of the coaches that they have on staff."

Q: With you living in North Carolina, does proximity to home play a factor in your recruitment?

A: "Proximity does not play a major factor because I'm originally from California."

Q: "Do you have any plans to visit Florida State? What are some aspects that you will be monitoring on the visit?

A: "I will be visiting FSU tomorrow (the 20th). The campus, overall area, facilities, and the other staff members that I haven't met yet are some things that I will be on the lookout for."
