FIVE-STAR OT JOSH PETTY

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive lineman coach Alex Atkins is regarded as the best recruiter on the Seminoles' coaching staff. He relates well with highly-touted prospects where he tells them the things that could improve on rather than always telling them the things that they are doing right.

One of the biggest concerns is the fact that Atkins heavily relies on transfer portal prospects in the rotation at the offensive line. It seems like recruits are biggest hung out to dry as veteran Robert Scott Jr. has been the only recruit that he has recruited to be in the rotation.

However, something will have to change after this season since players such as Robert Scott Jr., Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, Jeremiah Byers, and Keiondre Jones (among others) graduate.

One prospect that on3's Steve Wiltfong put in an expert prediction for was Class of 2025 five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia. He officially visited the Seminoles on the weekend of June 21st.

This would be a massive acquisition if Atkins is able to secure the services of Petty.
