Pro's and con's of Florida State football joining the Big Ten conference
MONEY, MONEY, MONEY
Money is everything in today's landscape of college football. Resources are very important when constructing the best program in the nation. Programs need money for state-of-the-art facilities, upgrading coaching staff, NIL opportunities, etc.
Let's face it... The ACC is not allowing the Seminoles to be successful in the space. You can look at December's College Football Playoff snub where an undefeated Florida State team was left out in favor of a one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide squad. The Big Ten and SEC were the two conferences that were represented.
It has been well documented that the Seminoles have sued the conference due to the program feeling as though they are not getting the compensation that they deserve. When you have teams such as Vanderbilt in the SEC and Purdue in the Big Ten making over 30 million dollars per years more than Florida State, it is a problem (sorry, I didn't mean to bash some schools).
Overall, Florida State has done a lot for the conference in terms of success and it is past due for its accomplishments to be rewarded. Moving to the Big Ten would allow them to thrive as a top-ten program in all of college football.
