DEFENSIVE TACKLE

Florida State defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is one of the best in the country at developing defensive tackles to further themselves to play professional football.

Haggins had the luxury of having defensive tackles on the roster during the 2023 season such as Braden Fiske, Fabien Lovett Sr., Malcolm Ray, and Ayobami Tifase. However, Fiske and Lovett Sr. declared for the 2024 NFL Draft while Ray and Tifase transferred out of the program.

The Seminoles do have talented pieces such as Joshua Farmer, Darrell Jackson Jr., KJ Sampson, and Daniel Lyons. They also added transfer portal pieces such as Grady Kelly (Colorado State) and Tomiwa Durojaiye (West Virginia).

However, the Seminoles could use another veteran piece at the position since Florida State only has three players in their rotation who have meaningful collegiate snaps. If the Seminoles want to be successful in 2024, they have to find a way to win in the trenches.
