S SHYHEIM BROWN

Florida State is going to have to replace some major pieces in its secondary with cornerbacks Renardo Green and Jarrian Jones as well as safety Akeem Dent going to the NFL.

The Seminoles have supremely talented defenders such as safety Shyheim Brown. The Lake City, Florida native had a productive 2023 season where he recorded 53 total tackles. This is his opportunity to shine.

While Dent was viewed as the "quarterback of the defense" in getting the unit set up with communication, he often dealt with injuries on occasion. Meanwhile, Brown has been a solid contributor for Florida State over the past two seasons.

This looks like this is the year for Brown as College Football 25 has him rated as 89 overall (which is good for the second-highest-rated defender on Florida State's roster). I will enjoy playing with the former three-star prospect as I cover effectively in space and maybe even utilize him as a sub-linebacker.
