Florida State defensive end Patrick Payton is considered the best player on the Seminoles' roster with a 90 overall rating. Payton is finally the focus on the defensive line after ultra-talented Jared Verse went to the NFL.

Playing defense on the College Football 25 video game is already hard enough with how many fast playmakers there are. Some are even struggling to contain offenses from scoring under 30 points.

It is easier to prevent explosive plays when you have Payton rushing off the edge. The former four-star prospect from Miami, Florida was seen as a project where he weighed 195 pounds but he is now listed at 254 pounds. The pass rusher had seven sacks this season and is anticipated to have a double-digit sack total in 2024.

I am excited to see how Payton can continue his development as an elite pass rusher in my dynasty.
