Florida State football recruiting for the 2025 cycle has been stagnant lately with the lack of pledges. The program has not secured a commitment since four-star defensive end Javion Hilson de-committed from Alabama and flipped to Florida State in January.

It looks like things could get interesting down the stretch as On3's Chad Simmons reported that the arch-rival Florida Gators are attempting to flip the pledge of five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

It is only May, but the Seminoles must continue pushing to keep their commitments in the class. This Florida Gators could have a forgotten 2024 season with the difficult November. However, recruits are ready to hear what Napier and company have to say.

This has been a roller coaster recruitment by Thomas, who originally stated that he did not care much about the recruiting process. However, since then, he has taken visits to other schools. With that being said, I am all about allowing the prospects to visit other universities to ensure that this is the best decision for them and their loved ones.

However, you did not come here for the bad news. I got you covered.

On Wednesday, On3's Steve Wiltfong has put in expert predictions in favor of Florida State for Class of 2025 four-star defensive tackle Myron Charles from Port Charlotte, Florida as well as Class of 2025 three-star safety Max Redmon from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida.

As for Charles, this is a massive opportunity for him to learn from one of the best assistant coaches in the country in Odell Haggins. The talented defensive tackles has taken a couple of trips to Tallahassee and seems to like what the program has to offer. It would be great to build upon the trenches.

In terms of Redmon, this is a defensive back who showcased a ton of speed when he ran an 11.30 100-meter dash last year. This is a prospect that defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. can groom and develop. Surtain Sr. has been on a hot streak with the recruiting trail since he arrived in Tallahassee.
