Noles are leading the way for Class of 2025 4-star RB target Alvin Henderson
Florida State already has good foundational pieces for its 2025 recruiting class with five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas and four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. However, the coaching staff is far from finished when it comes to acquiring talented prospects within the cycle.
One prospect to monitor going forward is four-star running back Alvin Henderson from Elba, Alabama. Originally, the home-state Auburn Tigers were the team to beat given that he had a strong relationship with running backs coach Cadillac Williams. However, Williams has left the team and is no longer the position coach.
This leaves the door open for the Florida State Seminoles. Running backs coach David Johnson has done a tremendous job in establishing the relationship with the offensive playmaker. His track record with backs during his short tenure with the Seminoles has been remarkable.
Fans understand that head football coach Mike Norvell's offensive scheme revolves around the ability to effectively establish the running game to set up passing opportunities. Trey Benson has certainly reaped the benefits of the Seminoles' preference to run the football where he has accumulated over 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns during his two seasons in Tallahassee.
Henderson is a game-changing type of back that has seen heavy production at the high school level. During the 2023 season, the Elba High School standout had 225 carries for 3,523 yards and 61 touchdowns. While he does have a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Auburn Tigers from June 2023, it seems like the recruitment has taken a turn.
According to a report from On3's Chad Simmons, he stated that Henderson made it clear that Florida State was the team to beat in his recruitment.
If the Seminoles are somehow able to obtain the services of the talented back, this position room could be very scary for the years to come. Florida State would be getting a talented prospect that has had over 7,400+ yards and 132 touchdowns during his three-year playing career at Elba.
Getting a top-100 prospect in the cycle would be massive, especially an offensive playmaker has the ability to take it the distance.
