SAFETY DARRELL "DUKE" JOHNSON

Even though Johnson is listed as a linebacker in the Rivals' recruiting database, the Seminoles view the talented prospect as a safety. At this time, defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has not secured a safety in the fold yet.

However, that could all change with Johnson. He has two crystal ball predictions in favor of Florida State and has showcased mutual interest with the program given that he has made several trips to Tallahassee.

Even though Johnson is trending in a positive direction for Florida State, he will be visiting several SEC schools this spring. According to On3's Chad Simmons, the Georgia native will be visiting Alabama (March 6th), Texas A&M (March 8th), Georgia (March 16th), and Auburn (March 30th).

The Seminoles have to keep finding a way to get Johnson on campus and secure his services before some of the teams get heavily in the mix.
