WR MALIK BENSON

Speaking of another transfer from Alabama, let's discuss wide receiver Malik Benson. Florida State fans should remember the name of Benson since the coaching staff went all the way to Hutchison Community College in Kansas to recruit him.

While on the visit, the coaching staff offered current defensive end Jaden Jones (who is now on the Seminoles' roster). Unfortunately, Benson chose to commit to the Alabama Crimson Tide the first time around. However, after a forgettable 2023 season where he recorded 160 yards and one touchdown, he put his name back in the portal.

Florida State is having to replace the likes of Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman from the NFL. That is very hard to do considering that they are mismatch nightmares for opposing defenses.

While Benson is only listed at 6'1", he brings a different type of speed and aggression to the wide receiver position. The talented playmaker had an injury scare during the Spring Showcase, but Norvell alluded to the fact that he should be fine and ready to go for the 2024 season.

Benson could make a name for himself as the number one receiving option this upcoming campaign.
