Mike Norvell speaks to the media after the Noles' second spring scrimmage
DEFENSIVE LINE CONTINUING TO SHOW EXPLOSIVENESS
Florida State continued its rein of success within the transfer portal. It is vital to pick up talented pieces on their defensive line after losing ultra-talented pass rusher Jared Verse. The Seminoles got players such as Marvin Jones Jr. (Georgia), Tomiwa Durojaiye (West Virginia), Sione Lolohea (Oregon State), and Grady Kelly (Colorado State).
Norvell mentioned that Durojaiye had some good plays today. The redshirt sophomore was a versatile piece that the coaching staff liked. He is a defensive lineman who is listed at 275 pounds. They are moving him around at defensive end and defensive tackle.
I don't believe that he can consistently be a defensive tackle unless he is over 300 pounds. However, I love his versatility in the defense. He is exactly what the Seminoles are. Durojaiye reminds me a lot of former defensive lineman Keir Thomas who played both positions as well.
I am excited about how the coaching staff will use Durojaiye this upcoming season.
