LB JUSTIN CRYER HAD A REALLY GOOD DAY

Florida State is trying to find capable options at the linebacker position after losing its starters in Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune due to graduation.

However, the Seminoles received great news this offseason when linebacker DJ Lundy elected not to enroll at Colorado, after entering the transfer portal, and decided to return to Tallahassee for his senior season.

From a depth perspective, this was massive given that Florida State did not have any options with significant collegiate experience other than Lundy. While the other players in the room are talented, there are question marks for Randy Shannon's squad.

Contributors include players such as Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., Shawn Murphy, Justin Cryer, and DeMarco Ward (among others). Norvell mentioned Cryer having a really good day on Thursday, the former Northwestern transfer had flashes in the Orange Bowl loss to the Georgia Bulldogs (there were not many positive moments from the contest overall).

It is good to see some of the linebackers emerging in the room. With Cryer's frame and skill set, he could be a capable linebacker in this defense if he continues to work.
