Massive June 21st recruiting weekend incoming for the Florida State Seminoles
NO FLY ZONE!
As previously mentioned, defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has done a phenomenal job since arriving in Tallahassee. He made his presence known in the 2024 recruiting cycle where he picked up Charles Lester III, Jamari Howard, Cai Bates, and Ricky Knight III.
I know there are still frustrations over not landing KJ Bolden after he chose the Georgia Bulldogs. However, that is still a great haul for Surtain Sr. to build upon.
Florida State's 4-2-5 defensive scheme dictates rotating multiple defensive backs to keep them all fresh. Surtain Sr. has the opportunity to put his recruiting hat on once again for the Seminoles as two four-star defensive backs will be visiting this weekend in four-star prospects Gregory Xavier Thomas and Shamar Arnoux.
Thomas has been crystalballed to the Seminoles for quite some time now. The American Heritage High School standout announced on social media Thursday night that he would be making his decision between Florida State and Clemson on June 30th. This seems like one that the Seminoles should win out on.
As for Arnoux, he is a newer name but he has already received a prediction in favor of the Seminoles. The rangy 6'2" cornerback is someone that Florida State's coaching staff values with his length. Arnoux came to Tallahassee for their Elite Camp on June 9th and was impressive. Florida State offered back on May 16, 2022. The Seminoles have been on him for a while now.
It would not be surprising if the Seminoles got both Thomas and Arnoux in the fold.
