DRAMA WITH JONES JR.

Class of 2025 four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida has been committed to Florida State since April 2023. However, as we know, quarterback recruiting can get dramatic.

We have already seen Jeff Sims, Chris Parson, and Nicco Marchiol's situations that did not pan out and they took their pledges to other schools. This recruiting cycle is no different as Jones Jr. is flirting with the likes of arch-rival Florida Gators.

This will be a pivotal stretch for the Seminoles' coaching staff when it comes to Jones Jr. The talented signal-caller is saying all of the right things about the program but that could change if an official visit is scheduled with the Gators.

Florida State is trending in a great direction for Class of 2026 five-star quarterback Brady Smigiel from Newbury Park, California. While he is a 2026 prospect, the Seminoles have a talented quarterback position group. Will that worry Jones Jr. down the road?

Right now, I think the Jacksonville native is firm in his commitment to the Seminoles. But it could get dicey if he schedules an official visit to Florida.
