Florida State football had a tremendous 2023 campaign which featured an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. The Seminoles had several contributors that helped the cause for the program to be succesful.

Head football coach Mike Norvell had over twelve players who participated in the NFL Scouting Combine. While certain fans complained about the players opting out of the Orange Bowl loss versus Georgia, these players did what was best for themselves and their loved ones.

They were able to obtain life-changing money that could help their family for generations. On Friday afternoon, the Los Angeles Rams selected defensive tackle Braden Fiske with the 39th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Fiske had a phenomenal 2023 campaign with the Seminoles after he transferred in from Western Michigan. The defensive tackle had 43 total tackles (9 for loss) and six sacks during the season. He had a productive four-year playing career with Western Michigan where he had 148 total tackles (27 for loss) and 13.5 sacks.

Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins had a fun experience with coaching Fiske and the talented players in his position. What is even more interesting is that Fiske and ultra-talented defensive end Jared Verse will be teammates again in Los Angeles.

The Rams are having to replace the likes of future Hall of Famer defensive lineman Aaron Donald shockingly retired this offseason. I am glad to see that the Rams could be a team that Florida State fans can pull for.

It was so amazing to see Fiske perform so well with their season on the line in the ACC Championship Game versus the Louisville Cardinals where he had 9 total tackles (4.5 for loss) and three sacks.

While the offense was underwhelming, the defense with Fiske did everything it had to do to maintain its undefeated season. I believe that the defensive tackle will have a successful NFL career.
